The Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem publishes three biannual journals: Cadernos de Estudos Lingüísticos (Department of Linguistics), Trabalhos em Lingüística Aplicada (Department of Applied Linguistics) and Estudos Portugueses e Africanos (Department of Literature / NECEPO-Research Group in Portuguese Culture). The Institute also publishes Remate de Males (Department of Literature), PhaoS (Department of Linguistics), and Liames (Department of Linguistics) which is a yearly journal, and can only be obtained through exchange.
